Are you considering buying or selling but are holding back due to COVID-19🦠? This is a common concern among our clients. We have created this blog post to outline what we are doing to help reduce the risk for buyers, sellers, and agents.
~ Buyer screening. Prior to arranging a showing time, all buyers will be asked the following:
~ do they have a mortgage pre-approval? Prequalified buyers are serious about buying
and will be shopping in the correct price range.
~ have they traveled in the last 14 days, have they been tested positive for COVID-19, or
are they caring for someone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
~ have they viewed the virtual tour? Are they familiar with the layout and finishings of the
~ Hand sanitizing🧴 signs will be provided and should be displayed near the main entrance of the home.
~ Showing instructions. We ask that you leave the lights💡 on and when possible doors🚪 open for showings. This helps limit surface touches.
~ Mortgage preapprovals are essential when house shopping. This will ensure we are shopping in the correct price range and will be able to pull the trigger when we find the perfect home. Shopping outside the preapproved budget puts others at risk unnecessarily.
~ Seller screening. When scheduling showings we will ask the sellers if they have they traveled in the last 14 days, have they been tested positive for COVID-19, or are they caring for someone who has tested positive for COVID-19?
~ Masks😷 may be required to view some listings. If clients do not have their own we will supply them. Also if clients prefer masks can be worn for all showings.
~ At the showings, the agent will ask that clients try not to touch anything. If lights💡 need to be turned on or doors🚪 open the agent will do so with a sanitizing wipe.
~ Contactless contract signing is a standard feature with The Urban Farmhouse. We have provided this service for years with the help of an electronic signature software.
We hope this helps clear up some of your questions. Are you ready to get started? We are continually trying to improve our processes if you have suggestions we would love to hear from you.
